Graduates - The journey of your true LIFE begins

Month of March has already ended and finally here comes April. The month wherein most of the schools were having their graduation ceremonies. Of course, after few months, here comes College life. Exciting, challenging, new things, new friends and new life style. Most of the students were having complications and difficulties of what course to choose. Some of them were insisted by their parents to get this courses, "Nursing, Education, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Nursing Aide, etc." Why? Because these courses are in-demand outside abroad. But let me ask the parents.. Do you even bother to ask you child what he/she wants to take? or what's your child's passion to do? You are just letting your child suffer for letting him/her study the things they don't want to.

Here comes the blogger, Mr. Dino Lapiz. I was lucky to have a parents who supported me until I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree. I took Major in Science - Biology. Since elementary, that's what I love, aside from music and art and I also planned to proceed Medicine after graduating with that course. Nothing's wrong with Biology and actually I loved it. I've been through a lot of challenges, this includes dissection, experiments, collecting parasites, manipulation of microscopes and etc. They say Biology is boring and this course are only for those studious persons, brainy, nerd, freak and even strange. Some also said that Biology course are for those who did not make or didn't passed during entrance examination for Nursing because in our Institution, S-5 are for Nursing students and only S-4 are for the Biology students and for your information, I got S-7 but still I chose to take Biology instead of Nursing.

March 2008, I graduated... I planned to have a pleasant work before proceeding Medicine. I was hired as a Quality Control Inspector in one of the Tuna Industries here in Gensan and after 2 years of experience, I got promoted and already forgot about the Medicine thing. Now let me tell you this, out of 100% of what I learned during school years, I think only 10% of it are the only things that I've used while I'm working. I don't know why or how I came up with that situation but all I can say is everything was a mess to think that I am only earning above minimum salary while working after suffering for how many years of studying. What the F...

Maybe some people were right. Maybe the Parent's are correct. I don't know if I regretted taking the course and I don't even know if this job is right for me or not because as what you can see, I had a job which is practically useless, ineffective, expendable and incompetent. I am surrounded by those people who are only high school graduate and earning not so close with what I'm earning. I feel so stupid and sometimes I already felt that I am a big disappointment for my family.

Those people who have been encountering same situation like mine already encourage others that they must not focus too much on what they desire and learn to observe their surroundings. Just like saying "Kung ano yung uso, doon ka" but for me, that doesn't work. If you dream big, earn big, to have this and to have those then you should work for it. Lot's of Millionaires nowadays doesn't have any of those Bachelor's nor Master's Degree. That's life.. be wise and practical. Learn to make twists and turns with it. I know everything happens for a reason that's why I ended up like this and until know, I keep on searching for the right reason.

Actually I don't have any advice for those who graduated recently on what to take or how to choose a perfect course for you. The only thing that I want to tell you is work with your heart and follow your dreams. By the way, I already resigned with that USER company. Every employee that they have are unstable because of they lousy book of policies. Bad for them...

Revelation

I'm just wondering why such people are trying to say something or shall I say reminds me of something. My faith towards him is unpredictable in which some of these religions can't even persuade me towards them. That's how God fearing I am.

I want to share some of my learnings when I was still employed at RDEX as a Quality Assurance Auditor (Supervisory level). My Manager, Mr. Charlie M. Lozarita is a person who is very devoted to his religion which is Roman Catholic. He is really compulsive when it comes to any of the Lord's thoughts. Every single day, in our office, he tries to preach me some words of God even though I don't have time to listen for those things not because I am atheist but because we are having this discussion within the working hours knowingly that he's my manager. These are some of the thoughts I learned from him:

• Every single person living in this world has they're own angels that why every child that was blessed to a catholic religion learned to pray the "Guardian Angel Prayer"; Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love, commits me here, ever this day, be at my side, to light and guard, rule and guide, Amen.
• Billions of angels protest to God's will and all of them were cast away from heaven.
• If demons are visible in earth, it may totally occupy the whole earth seeing only black because of their population.
• Temptations are everywhere and even new technologies including cellphones, televisions and social networking services are forms of temptations.
• Purgatory do exist.
• The more you commit sin, twice of that will be the duration that you'll going to suffer at the purgatory before you'll be judged - 50 years of existence of committing sin is equivalent to 100 years of suffering at the purgatory.
• Only chosen people are the one who will be save for the 2nd coming of the Lord.
• All natural calamities are forms of warning.
• Mama Mary is the Immaculate Conception wherein she's the one who helps the people through her miracles - she will let a certain person see her and will announce what to do and what to be aware of.
• There's no other church other than the Roman Catholic Church that was built by Jesus Christ.
• Confession will help you sanctify your soul.
• Blessings can be given to us anytime but Grace will always be limited and will only be given to those people who are devoted.
• Prayers were not directly received by God, it is our angels who receives and transmit it to God.

That's not all, there's a lot more... I am thankful for those learning's that I've learned from my boss because through those words, it strengthens my faith to God.

Aside from that, I also observed something like sometimes, when walking along the streets, there are these people which is normal I think giving away leaflets which is all about the book of revelation. Also, one situation when I'm off to Tupi via bus, there's this old woman who keep on trying to tell all of us inside the bus about the 2nd coming of Jesus and not just that, when we were off bound from Iloilo to Caticlan, there's this woman who sit beside me. She gave me a letter and she said, "Anak, magdasal ka. Kahit basahin mo lang ang nakasulat diya-an, matutulungan ang kaluluwa mo na maiayos sa tamang daan at maiiligtas tayo gaya sa nangyari sa Japan". Goosebumps...

And one last thing, don't you noticed something about the movies that were released recently? I think it started with the movie "Knowing, 2012, When the day the Earth stood still, Book of Eli, Vanishing on the 7th street", what else? I think these movies aren't just showing what kind of effects it has or the content of the story but I think it tries to tell us something that people can still change and we are all willing to change. It's just people doesn't think just like what I do.

This blog can be strange, creepy or even weird for you but that's the truth. This is the truth and we'll just face everything what will happen to us, sooner...

Monthsary

Today, April 12, 2011 is our 37th monthsary :) and still happy but I'm just wondering, why every time I typed the word "monthsary" it always has this red lines on it, so it means, the book of dictionary doesn't accept that word. So where the heck is this monthsary word came from and why are we using this word?

In my own opinion, I think Pinoy's are the only one who invented this slang word that means celebrating a certain day in which the couple has been together for a month, thus we call it month-sary. It only shows that pinoy are really into love and valuing each single day of their memories.

Some says that those people who are using this words are informative's - or at least, insightful. Some also says that monthsary seems to be convenient way to enjoy the pleasure of celebrating a committed relationship without necessarily being committed to a long-term relationship at all. Well it only shows that all people have their own different explanation about this occasion.

My point is, why do we need to be affected with those reasons, advices, explanations,  and etc if we're happy with our own relationship? Make your own pal then you'll going to understand why are we using this word. Be happy and there's nothing wrong with it and if we are going to celebrate every single month of our day. That's just it. Then if you still going to argue with my opinion, then maybe Love doesn't exist for you at all :)

Mine was not actually a love at first sight, but it turns out that it is love. Moi is the only person who accepted me for who I am and what I am. That's the reason why having this blog, because I am proud, to love and to be loved.

Do cigarettes has an advantage?

We all know that smoking is dangerous. It can harm your health and it doesn't give you any advantage at all but still most people do the smoking habit and I am one of them :)

I've read a book and that was before about a year ago and I already forgot who's the author nor the title of the book but I still remember a part of it in which the psychologist said that there are 3 reasons why do people smoke:

• Young people smoke because they want to look like they are old enough to do what the adults do.
• Old people smoke because they want to look like they are younger than their ages.
• People smoke because they see the person that surrounds them are smoking including his/her friends, family members and even the people they don't know - like in parties, bar, streets, etc.

Actually I agree with these statements especially with the 3rd one. Most smokers do that and if you're already fun and continuously doing that, then your body will also continuously look for it. That's the reason most of the smokers having a difficult time to stop this kind of vice.

Actually, those words, phrases and paragraphs you've just read are just my introductory part. Just to give you some information why do we smoke. LOL.

I and my elder brother Jack Lapiz are the only smokers in our family (not totally chain smokers, about 3-5 sticks daily) and we already done a habit of keeping all the cigarette cases and joining with us is our friend Thomas Marlowe Nadera who already kept a sack of cases since 2009, and by the way, we only smoke Marlboro brand of cigarette.

We don't have any plans for that, just for fun until we saw this thing posted somewhere within the city.

Now this is what the title of my blog explains.. The advantage of this worthless cigarettes. So if I were you, are you going to join the raffle knowingly that you had already kept hundreds of cases of Marlboro cigarettes? And having the idea of what are the chances to win? All we want is that brand new red car and motorcycle. We are dying to have those, so we started to move...

So that's it. Even cigarettes have this disadvantages, it also have this tiny advantage in which it can help you with your activities and it can make you shout (if you'll going to win one of the prizes). LOL..

A True General: Ms. Shamcey Supsup

GENERAL SANTOS CITY was again the queen of the night last night, April 10, 2011 telecast of ABS-CBN show, Bb. Pilipinas Pageant 2011 helded at Araneta Coliseum. From Manny Pacquaio, to Philip Nadela, Geral Anderson, Melissa Cantiveros, XB Gensan and now Ms. Shamcey Supsup represented the General Santos City and she was crowned as the Bb. Pilipinas 2011 and will represent the Philippines for the Ms. Universe 2011 that will be held at Sao Paulo, Brazil on September 12, 2011.

Shamcey Supsup, 24 year old lady, who was the Binibini no. 26 was graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of the Philippines of Architecture and she also topped the Architecture board exam last July 2010.

As the time she was called by Mr. Derek Ramsay together with Ms. KC Conception, the pageant hosts, Ms. Shamcey walks infornt of the coliseum and she was asked by Mr. Ramsay: "How are you?", Ms. Shamcey confidently says: "I'm fine and I'm very happy to be standing here in front of all of you". She was then asked a question by a certain judge Mr. Hugh Wilson, "With what will you cause do you identify yourself and why?" and Ms. Shamcey answered courageously, "I think one word it cause I can identify myself is valuing education coz I believe that education is something that cannot be taken away from you. You can have money, you can have fame but in the end, it can be taken away from you but education will always be there to help you in your life. Thank you."

Gensan uses the slogan "Magandang Gensan" which also represents the beauty of all people lived in here and this beauty was perfectly represented by Ms. Shamcey Supsup. Gensan was also considered as the Home of the Champions and this was also proved by our Binibini no. 26 by receiving the minor award which is Best in Talent and aside from that, she also received the awards Ms. Philippine Airline and Ms. Creamsilk.

Gensan is truly gearing up because as we can see, many establishments were already built, same as the SM Gensan that will open this coming December 2011 and also Tourism is finally increasing. Of course, not just within our place, the true generals are the people within the city and just like Ms. Shamcey Supsup, she defines the True General and lastly, just like Venus Raj, we believe in her capabilities that she can bring back the title to the Philippines of being the next Ms. Universe 2011.
